Some pieces don't belong over the sofa. They belong in a study lined with old books, on a gallery wall that gets people talking, or with the collector who already owns a two-headed something.

 

Our Oddities & Curiosities collection pairs real specimens and genuine antique ephemera with hand-colored lithographs, all framed and ready to hang. Each piece is one of a kind and assembled by hand from our archive of thousands of original items.

 

What you'll find

Natural history specimens: tarantulas, scorpions, and other creatures shown alongside antique scientific engravings.

Mourning & funeral ephemera: 19th-century coffin-maker advertisements, burial permits, undertakers' cards, and embalming-supply records.

The occult & uncanny: witches, fortune tellers, antique playing cards, Victorian sheet music, and the bat-winged figures of the gaslight era.

Shadowboxes & dioramas: miniature graveyards and moonlit scenes built into deep frames.

Art of the fantastic: collages built around Hieronymus Bosch's visions of heaven and hell.
